Terms of Service — Goddess Is A Crown Secrets — Design Studio

These terms describe how Goddess Is A Crown Secrets — Design Studio ("we," "our," "the studio") provides website design, logos and branding, and marketing services, and what we ask of our clients ("you"). When you pay a studio invoice, you are agreeing to these terms for that work.

1. Our services and prices

Our services and their prices are listed on our website next to each service, so your cost is known up front. Work marked "starting at" is quoted individually; your written quote is the price for your project. A project begins when we confirm your selections and quote in writing (by email or message) and your deposit invoice is paid.

2. Deposits and payment

3. Monthly services

Some services are monthly (for example care plans, hosting, SEO, and content packages). When you pay the first monthly invoice by card, the monthly service begins and renews each month through Stripe until it is cancelled. You may cancel a monthly service at any time by email; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid month, and there are no refunds for a partial month. If a monthly payment fails or becomes overdue, the service may pause until the account is current. A monthly rate we quote as locked for a stated period stays locked for that period.

4. Design mockups and direction

Before we build your mockups, we ask what colors, style, and look you like, so the options start close to your taste. For design work, we prepare three mockup examples in total, and you pick the one direction you like best — there is no second set. Once you have chosen, the direction is set. Changing direction after a choice is made is new design work — a paid restart: we quote the restart cost and get your approval before any restart work begins. Requests for changes are made in writing — email is fine — so nothing gets lost along the way.

5. Website Check-Up and Full Presence Audit — how the credit works

6. Your part of the project

Projects move fastest when materials arrive on time. You are responsible for providing the content, photos, information, and account access your project needs, and for confirming that you have the right to use anything you send us (photos, logos, text, and other materials). Delays in materials or approvals can shift a project's timeline. You are also responsible for reviewing and approving work when we send it for your approval.

7. Ownership

When your project is paid in full, you own the final delivered work — your website as delivered, your logo and final design files — and your final files are delivered at that point. Until a project is paid in full, unfinished work, drafts, work files, and source files remain the studio's. Tools, platforms, stock elements, and software used to build the work remain the property of their owners and are licensed as those owners provide. Websites we design carry a small footer credit: "Designed by Goddess Is A Crown Secrets — Design Studio." With your permission — for example, the permission box on your project form, which starts checked (uncheck it if you would rather we did not), or a yes in writing — we may show your completed work in our portfolio, on our website, and in our social media and advertising. If you ever change your mind, email us and we will take it down.

Work we create for you — including previews and samples — may carry an invisible digital mark identifying it as the studio's work. It does not change how your files look or work, and it does not limit what you own once your project is paid in full.

8. Accounts and third-party services

Some work involves third-party services and platforms — for example hosting, domain names, payment processing, and Google or social-media accounts. Those services have their own fees and terms, which are separate from ours, and we are not responsible for their outages, changes, or decisions. Stock photos, fonts, and similar licensed elements used in your project stay licensed under their owners' own terms, and those license limits are the owners'. Where a service is in your name, it stays yours.

Your client project page: after your deposit, we invite you to a private page on our website where you can follow your project's progress and send us notes. You sign in with a password you create — keep it safe; you are responsible for activity under your login. The page shows progress only: it does not transfer ownership of anything, and delivery and handover happen exactly as sections 2 and 7 describe. Notes and ideas you send through the page are requests — they change your project's scope or price only when we quote the change and you approve it in writing.

9. Honest limits on results

We build and market to professional standards, but no honest studio can promise specific search rankings, traffic, or sales, and we do not. Marketing results depend on many things outside our control, including your market and your competitors. Search engines also change their rules and ranking systems without notice, and we are not responsible for changes that come from those updates.

10. Ending a project

Either of us may end a project in writing (email is fine). Amounts for work already performed are due, and the deposit is applied to the work performed and the scheduling reserved for your project — once work has begun, the deposit is not refundable. If you end a project early, any third-party costs already committed are payable in full, and a cancellation fee of 30% of the remaining uninvoiced project value applies — your project held a reserved place in our schedule, and other work was turned away to keep it. If your business closes, is sold to a new owner, or enters bankruptcy, we may end the project at once, with amounts for work already performed due. Monthly services end as described in section 3.

11. Invoice questions, disputes, and chargebacks

If something on an invoice looks wrong, tell us in writing within 7 days of the invoice date and we will review it with you. Amounts that are not in question stay due on their normal schedule. Please do not start a chargeback or payment reversal with your card company or bank for a studio charge — talk to us first, and we will work to make it right. Starting a chargeback is a material breach of these terms: services may pause while it is resolved, and the charged amount, plus related fees and reasonable attorneys' fees, may be collected.

12. Materials you provide — indemnification

You agree to cover and defend the studio against claims, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees that arise from materials you supplied to us — for example, photos, logos, or text — including claims that those materials infringe someone else's rights.

13. Confidentiality

Each of us keeps the other's non-public business information confidential — things like unreleased designs, plans, and account details — and does not share it without the other's written direction, except where the law requires it.

14. Accessibility and legal compliance

We design with accessibility in mind and use the WCAG guidelines as a design target. Accessibility standards keep evolving, so we do not warrant or certify that a website meets ADA or WCAG legal requirements, or that it will not receive accessibility claims — especially once content is added or changed after delivery. You are responsible for the legal compliance of your own website, marketing, and data practices, including laws such as the Florida Digital Bill of Rights, the GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, CAN-SPAM, and the TCPA. We are not a law firm, and nothing in our work together is legal advice.

15. AI-assisted work

We may use AI tools to help with research, drafting, and content. AI output can be inaccurate or not unique, and it carries no guarantee of originality or copyright protection. You review and approve the final deliverables before anything is published. The tools, prompts, and methods we work with remain ours.

16. Copyright complaints

If you believe that content on our website infringes your copyright, please write to privacy@goddessisacrownsecrets.com with your name and contact details, a description of the work you say was infringed, where the content appears on our site, and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized. We review every notice that reaches us and remove content that a valid notice covers.

17. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits. A claim connected to a service must be brought within 12 months of when it arose; after that, it is considered closed.

18. Events beyond our control

Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — such as storms, outages, or platform failures.

19. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute that goes to court will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida. We do not use arbitration.

20. The whole agreement

These terms, together with your written quote and your invoices, are the entire agreement between us for your project. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part of these terms once does not waive it. Changes to a project — or to these terms for your project — are valid only when both of us have agreed to them in writing; email counts.

21. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on our website with a new date. Work already invoiced stays under the terms in effect when it was invoiced.
