Accessibility — Goddess Is A Crown Secrets — Design Studio
Our commitment
Everyone should be able to use this website — to read about our services, look at our work, and get in touch with us — whatever their ability, and whatever device or technology they use. If a page on this site doesn't work for you, that's our problem to fix — never yours to work around.
The standard we aim for — and where we honestly stand
We build and check this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard used around the world to measure whether a website works for people with disabilities. That standard is our target for every page.
Here is the honest part: this site does not meet every point of that standard yet, and some pages are closer than others. We check pages as we build and update them, fix what we find, and keep improving. This statement describes our target and our progress — it is not a promise that every page is perfect today.
What we do to make this site easier to use
- Text is sized and spaced to stay readable, with strong color contrast — including on small phone screens.
- The whole site can be used with a keyboard alone, in a sensible order.
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions; purely decorative images are kept silent for screen readers.
- Forms are clearly labeled, and if something is missing or wrong, the form tells you in plain words before anything is sent.
- The site is available in five languages — English, French, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and Portuguese — through the language switcher.
- You can speak instead of typing. On our inquiry forms, the client intake, and the client project page, a “Speak instead of typing” button lets you say your message out loud — in any of twenty languages — and watch it appear as text. You can read it over and fix any word before you send it, and typing is always there if you prefer it.
- We avoid motion and animation that gets in the way of reading or using the page.
- The site is built with standard web technology (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and is made to work with current browsers and common assistive technology, such as screen readers.
Known limits
Some parts of the journey leave our hands. Payment pages are run by Stripe, and videos and work samples may sit on video platforms — those companies run their own accessibility programs, and we cannot change their pages. What we can do is help you complete the same step another way; just ask (see below).
We also know some of our own older pages and samples may still fall short in places. If you find a problem on a page we control, we treat it as a bug: it goes on our fix list, it does not get argued with.
Tell us what isn’t working
Email us at info@goddessisacrownsecrets.com. It helps if you can tell us the page address, what went wrong, and the device, browser, or assistive technology you were using — but a short message is fine too.
We reply within two business days. If a fix is needed, we will tell you plainly what we plan to do and when.
Help another way
If email is not easy for you, call or text us and we will walk you through anything on this site personally, or handle your request with you step by step. You will never lose a service, be turned away, or pay more because you asked for help in a different way.
Websites we build for clients
When we build a website for your business, we build it aiming at the same WCAG 2.1 AA target described above, and we will always tell you plainly where your site stands. Each business remains responsible for its own legal compliance, as set out in our Terms of Service.
